7 Theories On How Arrow Will End
5. Oliver Survives And Lives Happily Ever After With Felicity
Arrow's final season has gone to great lengths to remind us that, in spite of how fixed events seem to be, the future can be changed if you know what's coming. Yes, William, Mia and Conor's arrivals from the future has gifted Team Arrow with foresight that they never had before and thus, they know exactly how Oliver's disappearance ultimately impacts his family. But can they do anything about it?
"Just do the good stuff," Laurel told her Team Arrow colleagues in the episode in which all was revealed and that advice right there could be the key to saving Oliver. If the team know how it all pans out, there's a chance they can stop it - something we've already seen some evidence of.
From the kids' arrival in the present to Roy Harper's new destiny, the future is already looking drastically different to the one we saw in Season 7's flash-forward episodes. Furthermore, The Monitor was caught off-guard by Oliver's unexpected death at the beginning of the Crisis - even though he knew he was destined to sacrifice himself at some point - so things are undoubtedly changing, and if they continue to change, Oliver may be able to return home to Felicity and Mia, reach out to William and live happily ever after with them - erasing the apocalyptic 2040 timeline from existence.
