6. Creed Bratton
Today, Creed Bratton (William Charles Schneider), is most recognizable for his role on the long-running NBC sitcom The Office. So it may come as a surprise to fans that the man behind offbeat paper company worker Creed has more than a passing relationship with rock and roll music. He emerged on the 1960s music scene with a band called The Young Californians, and toured Africa and the Middle East with them for 2 ½ years. After meeting fellow musician Warren Entner at a festival in Israel, Bratton returned to the United States in 1966 and became part of the band The 13th Floor. This band would eventually become The Grass Roots, and achieve national exposure with songs like Midnight Confession and Lets Live For Today. He recorded and toured with the band until exiting over creative differences in 1969. Soon after, he began to study acting. In 2001, he revisited his musical roots with the release of two albums of solo work, Chasin The Ball and The 80s. He continues to perform and release albums when not onscreen. http://youtu.be/VYas9my8yVw
