7 TV Shows That Improved In 2019 (And 3 That Got Worse)
5. Gotham
Gotham had a bit of a topsy-turvy run during its time on the air, but for the most part, it had found its way into sheer brilliance during its third and fourth seasons - something that was helped a great deal by Cameron Monaghan's thrilling turns as Jokers-in-the-making Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska. And yet the final season - an adaptation of the legendary comic book arc No Man's Land - showed that there was always room for improvement.
In a year in which a more famous show that began with the letter G completely lost sight of everything that made it special in its concluding offering, Gotham's final season was true to the show in every way imaginable - wrapping up each character's arcs in meaningful ways that felt right while also managing to put a unique twist on the Batman mythology one more time.
Gotham truly did save the best for last.
