7 Ways Game Of Thrones' Unaired Pilot Episode Was Completely Different
3. Jaime & Cersei's Sex Scene
The incestuous sex scene between Jaime and Cersei is one of Winter Is Coming's most iconic moments, as it really lets you know what kind of characters you're dealing with, especially as climaxes with a small child being pushed out of a window to his likely death. In the aired version, Cersei tells Jaime to stop when she spots Bran watching them, but it happens much sooner in the original script, making this a far less consensual encounter:
The naked man grabs her by the hair and forces her to rise on all fours. She gasps with pain. Woman: "Stop." He does not stop. Keeping one hand on her hair, he pushes himself to his knees. He seizes her hip with his free hand and pulls her toward him, thrusting deep into her.Woman (cont'd): (moaning) Stop it... stop it... please."Her voice is low and she does not push him away; the harder he pulls her hair, the more she moans.
This is very much in keeping with how much of a bad guy Jaime was in Season 1, but it also makes his arc harder to buy into. The show could do with less rape overall anyway, and they already butchered it with these two once by having their Season 4 sex scene come off as rape. Doing that twice would've been even worse, especially when you want to cheer Jaime walking away from Cersei in Season 7.
