8 Best Anthology Shows Ever
1. Lore
Based on the American podcast of the same name, Lore is an Amazon Prime original anthology television series, focusing on folklore tales in a horror and mystery style that was first released in 2017.
The show blends real life visuals, animations and creepy effects to create spooky narratives that uncover the origins behind old stories and morals we have all grown up hearing.
If you're looking for a nightmarish show, then this will definitely be up your street. The episodes are binge watch worthy, with only six in the first season at around 40 minutes each, all voiced over by the original podcast host Aaron Mahnke. In the second season, the showrunners decided to ditch the voice over element, however the episodes are just as creepy to endure.
The producers of the show all come from horror backgrounds, including The Walking Dead and the X-Files, who seamlessly combine their knowledge of the genre to create the dramatic hide-behind-your-pillow episodes.
The podcast has since continued, if jumpy visuals are too much for you to endure, and you would rather listen to the chilling re-tellings only.
