Third Rock From the Sun was a mid-90s gem. It somehow managed to maintain the same quality of humor throughout its long run, all while launching the career of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. (And for that, we thank you, from the heart of our bottoms.) But unfortunately, I think they really struggled with how to end it, especially with Mary Albright in the picture. Does she go to space? Does she get left behind?

She ends up realizing that Earth is her home, and that she couldn't live on an alien world. So Dick brainwashes her, making her forget the memories she had of him. Well, that's going to make for a fun Monday morning at work. She just lost six years of specific memories, and no one thinks that might be a problem down the line?

How It Should Have Ended...

I much prefer the alternate ending, filmed in case the show came back, where Dick shows up naked and abducts her. Because that's far more in line with what I know and love about the show.
