8 Bizarre Endings To Otherwise Incredible TV Shows

1. Seinfeld

20621296 I love Seinfeld as much as the next person alive on planet Earth, but damn, Seinfeld, what were you thinking? Imagine this, if you will: you've created a show that has beat the odds and run for an impressive nine seasons. This show has revolutionized the concept of an irreverent comedy and created an entire style of humor. It featured four characters so beloved that for years, people thought that the show was cursed, because the actors struggled to make audiences see them as anything other than Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer. But all good things must come to an end. So you decide that the best way to end your show is to... have the characters put on trial and sentenced to life in prison for the various misdeeds they've committed over the course of nine years. Really? That's the note you want to go out on? The season finale of Seinfeld ruffled more than a few feathers, but it's a testament to the overall quality of the show that it didn't really affect the audience's love for it in the long run. How It Should Have Ended... A traditional Seinfeld episode all about nothing would have worked here. It's always a bad decision to end your run on the air with a clip show. Is it too much to understand that the audience loved watching nine seasons of regular episodes, and that they would have wanted one more before the end, rather than just a rehash of all the episodes they've already watched?
