7. The Space Coyote
This is a simple one really, for I know of not one person on this Earth whose life could not be improved by the presence of a mystical spirit guide with the body of a coyote and the voice of Johnny Cash. When Homer ingests Guatemalan insanity peppers at the annual chilli cook-off, he embarks upon a bizarre hallucination, accompanied by some of the best and trippiest animation ever seen on the Simpsons. At the top of a pyramid he watches the moon and a planet become eyes, a face manifest around them, and the coyote take physical form beside him. The coyote tells him not to do anything rash like giving away all his possessions (If anything, you should get more possessions! You dont even have a computer), but instead to find his soulmate. This advice to Homer forces him to reevaluate his life with Marge, and eventually realise just how lucky he is to be with her and not to take her for granted. But even without this happy ending, were talking about a magical coyote with the voice of Johnny Cash here! What more do you want?
