1. Oskar Pets The Kitty (Oskar Can't Read? S3 E24a)
Another creepy lodger, another childish innuendo to sex. This one may well be my own mind playing tricks on me from all the other references found throughout the show, but to me there's something very uncomfortable about this scene. Oskar, the scruffy looking lodger, is trying to learn to read, and decides to start off with something easier, maybe something with pictures. No, not Playboy you crazy kids, that's too obvious, it's that children's classic tale, Pet The Kitty. He then enjoys "petting the kitty" whilst the librarian watches in glee. Again, I'm not making it up... And so, with Oskar petting the kitty, Ernie reaching and pulling, Grandpa Phil blazing, and Helga's girlhood trembling, I guess there's only one thing left to say... Hey Arnold, what the Hell is wrong with you and your mates?!
