Sometimes, the fair people of the arts get angry too. That's what happened when it turned out a Simpsons rollercoaster ride at Hollywood's Universal Studios had been playing the show's own theme song which, for some reason, didn't sit right with members of The American Federation of Musicians. According to the Federation, in what sounds like an incredibly petty display of power, it needed to be notified when and where The Simpsons theme tune was playing; as it wasn't, the AFM assembled the lawyers and went looking for damages for those involved in the original recording of the tune. A spokesperson, speaking on behalf of Universal, said simply, "Universal Studios Hollywood denies the claims made by the American Federation of Musicians", which is essentially the corporate spokesperson version of dropping the mic and walking away from the theatre of conflict.
