8 Quirky Female TV Characters We Love

1. Phoebe Buffay - Friends

611 Phoebe is a beautifully bizarre character and the ultimate eccentric hippy. For ten years she entertained the world and reduced people to full-blown belly-laughs with her unusual storylines and unique quirks. If she wasn't serenading us with Smelly Cat in Central Perk or running like a maniac in Central Park, she was giving birth to her brother's triplets, or she was reminiscing about being homeless in a blasé, this-happens-to-everyone, sort of way. She was the only Friends character you could always rely on to inject light-hearted and unconventional silliness into the stories. Sure, the other Friends were great, but who except Phoebe knew exactly where the 'left philange' was? Or could randomly speak fluent French? Or would use her best friend's 8 year son in order to get Sting tickets? Or would voluntarily change her name to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock? The list of 'Phoebe-isms' is endless. The world smiled and some (myself included) even shed a tear when they watched our nutty blonde Pheebs walk down the aisle to marry Mike to the tune of the Beatles' Here, There and Everywhere played on the steel drums. Mike described Phoebe as 'wonderfully weird' and we couldn't put it better than that. Quirky Quotes: "They don't know that we know that they know!" "I'm sorry I won't be able to make it to your imaginary wedding, but I'm really busy that day. I'm already have a unicorn baptism and a leprechaun bar mitzvah." "I knew something was wrong. My fingernails didn't grow at all yesterday." "Are you in there little foetus? In nine months will you come greet us? I will...buy you some Adidas." "My sticky shoes. My sticky, sticky shoes. Why you stick on me? Ba-aby. Thanks for the lights honey." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOBBzBFcbMs
