Daredevil makes his long anticipated return to Netflix this Friday, and it's not a moment too soon for the character who has surprisingly emerged as one of the most popular in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first season hit the online streaming service last year. By now, you'll have no doubt seen enough of the series to know that The Man Without Fear is going to be joined by characters like Elektra and The Punisher, something that signals quite a shift from the days of Matt Murdock battling crime in that homemade black costume. However, just how different does this season get with such a major shake up of the status quo? (including behind the scenes with two new showrunners). Thanks to Netflix, I was recently able to watch the first seven episodes of Daredevil, and here you will find a spoiler-free (everyone's definition of a spoiler varies, but no major plot twists or story beats are ruined here) look at how this year's effort differs from the last. Reviews for season two have so far been very positive, but make no mistake about it, Daredevil now feels like a very different show. There's a lot you have to look forward to in the seven episodes made available to the press though, so here's a closer look at what's on the way.
