4. Matt And Elektra's Relationship Is Much Different To The Comics

If you're familiar with Frank Miller's Daredevil (and you really should be), you'll know that Elektra returns to Matt Murdock's life as an enemy of sorts when she's hired as The Kingpin's assassin. Despite there being hints of the two still having feeling for each other, their relationship is never really explored beyond Daredevil knowing he needs to stop her. Well, the show plays out in a completely different way and it's a million times better. Everything from the reason Elektra returns to New York to their early years together (which are explored in a flashback heavy instalment) are totally different to the comics and Daredevil's last live-action adaptation. Their relationship also plays out in a very unexpected way, and this Elektra has only a few fairly basic traits in common with her comic book counterpart. You know what though? It still works absolutely brilliantly.
