While it would be easy to populate an entire list like this one with disappointing moments from season eight of Game of Thrones, there was one event that took place in the fifth episode, titled, "The Bells" that stands above all else. This was it. It was the moment viewers had been waiting for years to see.

What would Daenerys Targaryen do when she finally got to King's Landing? Would she assert her rule and subjugate the population as she took the Iron Throne, or would something else happen? This was one of those moments that was hyped from the very beginning of the series, so fans were watching in eager anticipation.

After she manages to take out the city's defenses, she certainly had the option of taking control of the most important city in the kingdom, but she had other things in mind. Instead, she took her dragon, Drogon, and completely razed the city to the ground.

It was a decision that haunted all the fans who watched her progress up to that point, but instead of becoming the Queen who cared for her subjects, she became the tyrant who killed them all... not unlike her father. The hype for this episode alone was significant, and for most viewers, it wasn't worth it.
