DC might already have one superhero team show due to start very soon, but a series based on Doom Patrol would be a very different sort of beast so it wouldn't tread on the toes of Legends Of Tomorrow. Perhaps somewhat like the X-Men, Doom Patrol follows a team of super-powered misfits who see their gifts more as curses. For instance, a long-running member of the group is Robotman - born from having his brain put inside a robot body after being in a car accident - who suffers from depression and existential angst. Despite this, a series starring the team wouldn't be all doom and gloom (despite the title) as there is a lot of craziness involved in the comics. e.g. Dorothy Spinner, a girl with the face of an ape who can bring imaginary beings to life. Instead, it could be a deeper and fascinating look into how superpowers can take their toll on the hero.
