9 Horror Movie References You Never Noticed In Anime

Rosario + Vampire is the story of a high school boy who accidentally enrols in a boarding school populated by monsters. He quickly becomes the object of affection for several of the young ladies, including the vampire Moka.

Moka's younger half-sister, Koko (Kokoa in the English version), has a desire to fight the gentle-natured Moka in order to bring out her true demonic personality. Her attempts to do this including assaulting her elder sister in a series of costumes reminiscent of classic horror tropes.

She dresses as Freddy Krueger, wears a hockey mask and brandishes a chainsaw like Jason and Leatherface. She even chases Moka with a Chucky doll – armed with a bloody knife and a pair of dental pliers, which actually makes him a little scarier than his films.
