2. Phoebe Was A Meth-Addict
Phoebe was always something of an outsider on Friends. She lived (for the most part) a little bit further away, she wasn't related to or dating any of them, and she was the weirdest (in a good way) of the bunch. One fan theory takes that and twists it until it's so dark and depressing you'll want to put your Friends box-set in the freezer.
It goes that Phoebe, who we know lived on the streets, was actually a total meth-addict, and everything we witness comes from her standing outside Central Perk, looking at the group of friends and imagining herself as part of their lives, because a close group of friends is the only thing she ever wanted in life.
The series ends with Phoebe walking away from the coffee house, past a shop called Ursula where she catches her reflection; and back to her 'home' in the park: a bench in front of the fountain, with a broken lamp next to it. It begins raining, and she puts up six brightly coloured umbrellas.
No one told you life was gonna be this way.
