3. Hopper Is Dating Again, And Joyce Doesn't Like It
Some fans say they are simply close friends, others say they are secretly in love with each other. Regardless of where you stand, you have to admit that the Hopper/Joyce relationship has been a slow-burning one.
The first time we see him in the trailer Hopper is dressed up at a nice restaurant, apparently waiting for a date to show up. This then cuts to Joyce eating dinner at home, all alone, looking very sad. It could be trailer editing trickery, but it certainly appears as though Joyce is a little jealous.
The other way to interpret it could also be that it's Joyce who he is waiting for; but she's standing him up. If prior predictions are correct, then it'd make sense why she wouldn't want to start a new relationship right before relocating her family.
Either way you slice it, this could be the season they begin planting the seeds of their romantic relationship.
