Following closely on from the weakening recurring jokes, Sheldon's character was once refreshingly wacky, loveably eccentric, wonderfully weird, but nine seasons on and the fans are still being served the same old style.
Everybody know Sheldon doesn't like [insert the name of almost anything]. Everybody knows he wants the same Chinese order from the same Chinese restaurant, but he'll still go through the same, tired, long list of individual items that must be included.
Sheldon's character is slowly adapting and that has paved the way for some interesting new moments, but overall his general personality is far too stale for him to remain amusing. He's weird, he's socially awkward, we get it.
