6. UP — Eddie The Eagle; Brad The Canary?

Just an UP for Boimler — beard still growing — taking on the slopes. Little did he know that "COWARDS GULCH (SMOOTH AND EASY)" would become "EXPERTS DEMISE". Plus, it is "hard to think of an animal that's good at skiing," thank you, Mr. Billups! Perhaps a nod to the titular Eddie, perhaps just one of the writers finally wanting to tell the truth.

As Boimler careened down after the target Denobulan, he bumped into the back of an alien with their genitals in exactly the right place ("Where else would they be?") — a hilarious reference to a similar incident between Captain Kirk and unknown species on Rura Penthe in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Plus, we must also pause for a moment to note that Jack Quaid does very lengthy death plunge screams like no other. Hope your low-density space bones are all right there, Brad! Perhaps the beard also cushioned the blow?

Boimler's confidence seems to be growing along with the hair this season, although he has thankfully not lost any of the quirkiness that made him as appealing a character in the first place. The canary did fly, after all… right off the side of a mountain.

Jack Kiely is a writer with a PhD in French and almost certainly an unhealthy obsession with Star Trek.
