Curveball time. What if everything is gearing towards Sheldon winning a Nobel Prize, though he misses out, and Amy receives one for her field instead? It would be a fantastic twist and would recognise Amy's often glossed-over achievements in her line of work. It may be too contrived to work in the show, but it would be the ultimate test of Sheldon's new persona if Amy were to win the award before him. It would also put our characters' fictional yet seemingly brilliant minds on display with some real-world recognition.
