9 Ways The Simpsons Could End

While researching this article I've come across a whole host of interesting fan theories for how things could end that range from the inane to the bonkers, but the standout has to be this one from reddit user LittleMonkey69 (now that username's a case to pray for Mojo is there ever was one). So good, in fact, I'm going to include it on the list in its own entry!

You can read the full version over on reddit, but in short the proposed episode has Krusty launch a competition to write the final episode of Itchy & Scratchy, which through an organisation flub winds up won by all five of the core Simpsons family members. Jump forward a year and we have a middle section where each family member explains their own take, showing each person's world outlook within it. The final act sees this set-up put the characters in their classic opening credits situations - writing on the blackboard, leaving band practice etc. - and seeing the family race home to make the episode in time, ending in the most touching couch gag of all time.

I mean, that's just pretty great, isn't it? It brings together various elements other ending possibilities have discussed in a tight manner.
