A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 3 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

2. Allison Williams' Flat Performance

A Series Of Unfortunate Events Kit Snicket
Netflix

This might be an unpopular opinion, but considering how hyped-up Allison Williams' performance was as Kit Snicket following last season's cliffhanger tease, she actually ends up coming off a tad forgettable here.

It doesn't help that Kit actually has a fairly small role for the majority of the season, showing up for a scene here and there yet getting little of actual interest to do.

Even so, Williams' fairly monotone performance clashes harshly with the more animated characters she's surrounded with and the exuberant tone of the show as a whole.

She fares better with some more melodramatic moments later in the season, but for the most part she's weirdly underwhelming despite being a perfectly capable actress.
