Agents Of SHIELD: 8 Ways It Sets Up Marvel's Inhumans

1. Who Are The Inhumans?

The Inhumans in the movie are widely expected to be rather different to those introduced on the TV show, with the film more likely to focus on the Royal Family and, with X-Men belonging to Fox, will fulfil the role of €˜mutants€™ in the MCU.

The Royal Family is ruled by the King, Black Bolt, who can produce particles from the speech centre of his brain that interact with electrons, giving him a hypersonic voice that can cause vast devastation. Because of this, he never speaks.

His Queen is Medusa, who can interpret and speak for him, and also use her hair in a variety of ways, such as lifting extremely heavy objects and as a spear-like weapon.

Other Inhumans likely to feature include: Maximus, Black Bolt€™s villainous younger brother with mind-control powers; Medusa€™s younger sister Crystal, who can manipulate the elements; Triton, who has aquatic based superpowers and scaly green skin; and Lockjaw, their teleporting canine.

There are all quite a bit more €˜out-there€™ than what we€™ve seen on Agents of SHIELD. so far, but with more Inhumans coming it has the chance to continue introducing weirder and stronger characters, building up to meeting the Royal Family in 2019, and there€™s always the possibility some will make the jump to the movie.
