Alan Partridge Returning In Two New Shows For Sky

Steve Coogan's most famous creation Alan Partridge is returning to television in two new shows for Sky Atlantic.

"Alan has been off the TV for too long but he is even more excited than me about his chance to have a second bite of the cherry. Alan feels the second decade of the millennium is the right time."
As well as this, there is a brand new series of 'Mid Morning Matters'' as well as the recently announced Alan Partridge Movie that's currently in production. This is a big coup for Sky who are obviously delighted. Lucy Lumsden, head of comedy at Sky said;
''Sky Atlantic is providing our best writer performers the space to feel creatively free. Who better to kick off our new season of comedies than the phenomenally talented Steve Coogan?''
Part of the deal, Sky will also air two programs from Steve Coogan's own production company 'Baby Cow.' 'Uncle Wormsley's Christmas' is a children's animated film staring Coogan, Julia Davis, Julian Barratt and John Thompson. The other is 'Steve Coogan's Stand-Up Down Under', which follows the comedian on his Australian tour.
