Amazon's Fallout TV Show: 10 Things Fans Need To See

8. Ghouls

Hey, who are you calling a zombie, smoothskin?

While zombies are not quite as popular in mainstream media as they were ten years ago, they continue to often inhabit videogames in one form or another. In the world of Fallout, we know them well as ghouls, and they come in two particular types: normal ghouls have had their skin horribly deformed by years of radiation, yet retain their mental faculties. Conversely, while similar in looks, feral ghoul minds have been poisoned beyond repair, causing them to attack on sight, and attack rather quickly, too.

With their vocal chords damaged, ghouls speak in a low guttural voice that may have a few viewers reaching for the subtitles button. There are no such issues for the ferals, with the best they can manage a scowling roar as they leap onto a poor unsuspecting wastelander.

Partly responsible for the reconstruction of society post-armageddon, it's vital that Amazon include some of our very old ghoulish relatives in its TV adaptation of Fallout.

Graeme Mason hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
