1. Wilhemina Venable's Death

While there was much to love about Forbidden Fruit, there was one story move that didn't go down to well and that is the death of Wilhemina Venable. Love her or hate her, Venable has been a force to be reckoned with, and that in itself has made her an incredibly strong character. Her desire to remain on top and her evil inclinations made her one of Sarah Paulson's finest creations to date, and it appeared that there was much story left to tell.

However, all of that story potential was squandered when Venable was killed off. The whole thing felt contrived, and appeared only be done because Paulson's other character Cordelia arrived moments later. Perhaps the show didn't want to fork out for the special effects of having the actress portraying two characters in the one scene, or perhaps they were afraid of confusing viewers by having Paulson onscreen twice, but regardless it's a real shame that Venable was developed further.
