American Horror Story: Apocalypse - 3 Ups & 1 Down From ‘Sojourn’

1. The Anti-Climatic Ending

Miss Mead AHS Apocalypse
FX

A couple of weeks back, American Horror Story shocked us all when the show revealed Miss Mead to be an android. We then learned that she was built by Michael in memory of his former friend - the real Miss Mead. Their relationship was then depicted via flashbacks over the course of the next few episodes.

For being such a great episode, Sojourn ended on a sour note. The final shot sees Michael making his first communication with the Miss Mead robot. Considering we already knew that Mead was an android based on his friend, this wannabe cliffhanger felt really odd.

It served no purpose since we already knew what would come next, and therefore came off as rather anti-climactic. What's more, even if we didn't know what would transpire next, Miss Mead's inception is hardly an important story beat worthy of a cliffhanger anyway.
