These two absolute icons of the television world have taken millions upon millions of people by storm over the years for their simplistic yet highly entertaining take on the sitcom format. And yes, HIMYM is essentially "Friends: Spiritual Successor Bugaloo", but the inspiration doesn't negate just how funny How I Met Your Mother still was.
The two shows have gone down as possibly the two most-quotable laugh-track sitcoms of all time. And honestly, how couldn't they be? When you've got characters like Joey Tribbiani and Barney Stinson, you're BOUND to come across a few extra shiny gems in the goldmine.
While the great debate over which show did it best will continuously reign for hundreds of years.... probably, very few people tend to find just one of these shows funny. If you like one, there's a pretty good chance you'll like the other.
