Arow Season 4: 12 Questions We're Asking After 'Brotherhood'

12. Can James Bamford Please Direct Some More Episodes?

James 'BamBam' Bamford has been working as a stunt man and co-ordinator for two decades now, on the likes of the various Stargate shows, The X-Files, and the X-Men movies. He's been working on Arrow since the very start, helping to give the show some visually excellent and distinctive action scenes. Finally he got his chance to go behind the camera and direct an episode with Brotherhood, and he didn't disappoint. You'd think Arrow had pretty much covered all of the various sequences and styles it could possibly do, but Bamford found a way of bringing fresh and exciting elements to the action scenes, such as the way the camera followed Laurel when she jumped off the roof. The centrepiece of all of this was Thea's fight with the no-longer-dead Diggle brother, largely taking place in an elevator and a corridor. It looked superb, and all the fights were really frenetic and exciting to watch. Given the success of this, surely he'll be invited back to helm a few more?
