Arow Season 4: 12 Questions We're Asking After 'Brotherhood'
5. Why Didn't Darhk's Powers Work On Thea?
When Thea was inside the H.I.V.E. compound, it was an unexpected surprise to see her run into Damien Darhk, and things didn't look to great for Speedy. Darhk used some of his magic to disappear and then reappear elsewhere, and when he grabbed her by the throat I was waiting for Green Arrow or someone else to turn up to make the save. Turns out that wasn't necessary, as when he touched Thea and tried to use his life-sucky powers (which is exactly how I imagine they'd be described if Darhk had been a Buffy villain), they didn't work, and he himself looked like he was in pain momentarily, or at least in stunned disbelief. It's not really clear exactly what happens here, but presumably it has something to do with Thea's experience with the Lazarus Pit? Could that be the key to beating him?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
