Arrow: 10 Most Disappointing Episodes Ever

7. Season 5 Episode 10: Who Are You?

Arrow Stephen Amell Death
The CW

The death of Laurel Lance is one of the most bloated, overwritten, feckless, and ultimately forgettable deaths in TV history.

Season 5 was immediately repenting for this by providing an action packed and character driven story. It seemed to be steering as far away from Laurel as humanly possible, so when she mysteriously comes back in episode 9, ears everywhere began to prick up.

Episode 10 took the audience interest, and dropped it into a muddy puddle. The Laurel we see is an evil version from an alternate dimension, and her "return" amounts to nothing more than a mediocre "villain of the week" episode. They even push the exciting main conflict with Prometheus aside, in order to give the spotlight to this underwhelming story. "Evil Laurel" eventually becomes a very compelling character in the following seasons, but this was not a good start.
