Arrow: 4 Characters That Absolutely Cannot Die (And 4 That Can)

At this point, anyway.

The fourth season of The CW's Arrow has overall been much lighter than the third. The dark moments have admittedly been super dark, but there have at least been some smiles among the doom and gloom. On the whole, however, there has been a shadow hanging over each of the eight episodes that have aired since the season premiere. The flashforward at the end of the first episode, which saw a wrecked Oliver Queen standing over a grave and telling Barry Allen that he's off to kill a bad guy. has had fans speculating since October about just whose body has been buried. Prior to Season 4, it was easy to name ten characters that could not be killed off. Now, following the devastating midseason finale, the list has gotten smaller. There are of course reasons to not want characters to die. Each of them have at least a few redeeming qualities, but the show is ultimately going to kill the spare whose death can make a big impact without costing too much in the long term. There are some candidates for the grave who just make more sense than others. This is a spoiler-free look at the characters that the narrative of the show at this point absolutely needs in order to logically carry on...and those it can do without in Season 5.
