Arrow: 5 Things That Improved 'State v. Queen'

3. Continued Universe Building

Arrow State V Queen Season 2 has thus far made great strides in entrenching Arrow into the DC Universe. Last week it was revealed that the Queen's lawyer was Jean Loring €“ wife of Justice League member The Atom €“ while also introducing Amanda Waller and H.I.V.E. The latest episode included a few more references for fans to ponder over and since Jean played a more substantial role in the story (for obvious reasons, of course) I wonder if she will show up on a more recurring basis in the future. There was another mention of Star Labs particle accelerator, something which has been hinted at at least once in every episode of the season so far. I'm sure a certain scarlet speedster will somehow end up in this accelerator once he makes his full appearance. Malcolm Meryln also returned (more on that later) telling Moria "There are parts of the world where death is an illusion. I've been to one". We know Merlyn trained in Nanda Parbat, the location of the League of Assassins' headquarters where both he and Sara Lance were trained. With the mention of Ra's al Ghul, one's mind automatically jumps to the question of whether or not the show will introduce the Lazarus Pits, Ra's' means of immortality. If Merlyn really did die, could he have been revived by a Lazarus Pit? Only time will tell if Arrow will make that jump. There's also the question of what exactly Brother Blood is trying to create. Many fans have theorized he's concocting Venom, the drug which gives Bane his enhanced muscles from the comics. It is an interesting theory and one I'm keen to see if it is true.
