Arrow: 6 Major Revelations From "Three Ghosts"

1. Everything Changed In A Flash

Grant Gustin Flash The Cw Comic Book fans knew this moment was coming, in fact, everyone should have known this was coming when the show's creators announced the Flash/Barry Allen would be introduced. Many fans initially were confused, then angry, and then worried what this meant for the future of the show. Season 1 was very strict about the no superheroes/superpowers rule. Villains like Firefly and Count Vertigo were stripped of their powers for a more realistic portrayal. In other words, the show was taking the Nolan route. So it was understandable when fans expressed their thoughts about the show's most important rule being broken. With "Three Ghosts" ending, did the introduction of superpowers and superhuman ruin the storytelling, tone, and most importantly, our enjoyment? Like always, fans overacted to the news only to be proven wrong. The past two episodes were every bit, if not more, enjoyable then previous chapters. Barry Allen's portrayal was very well done. Grant Gustin immediately was likable and well-acted. He is nerdy and annoying, but not so overbearing to the point of exhaustion. In many ways he is the male version of Felicity Smoak. Not only was his portrayal great, also his origin story was superb and accurate in just a two-episode span. He reveals the story of mother's murder, his father being framed, and the impossibly fast shadow that attacked, which is obviously Reverse Flash. His transformation into the Flash was a true fanboy's wet dream. Combining the particle accelerator, lighting bolt, and various chemicals, his origin story was ripped straight from the comic books. With the "no superpowers" rule erased more famous comic book characters and stories can appear. Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Assassins are a huge threat looming over Starling City. Christopher Nolan's realistic take prevented Ra's from immortality. In Arrow, he will be free of such restrictions. This will allow him to return multiple times causing destruction everytime. Not only this, but could we see a live action Lazarus Pit in the show? Malcolm Merlyn is miraculously alive after recieving an arrow to the chest. Did he take a swim in the pit? Barry Allen is set to recieve his own pilot episode and hopefully a full series after. Since both are set in the same universe, a crossover can happen at anytime. The smart plan would be to place both shows back to back with the Flash being a lead-in to Arrow. The Flash is responsible for changing both Smallville and Arrow. His introduction allowed famous comic-book characters to appear in Smallville, and the same is happening in Arrow. Most importantly, Arrow's small screen version of the Justice League is slowly taking shape. Can you imagine The Justice League vs the League of Assassins on our TV screens? Finally, Ollie needs to advance his arsenal and skill set to combat new stronger enemies. Currently, he only relies on normal arrows to defeat criminals. Rarely has his quiver carried any special arrows. He did use a voice recording arrow in the pilot episode. With the genius Felicity as his ally, she can invent what the comic calls "trick" arrows for him. These unique bolts range from explosives to flash-bangs to even kryptonite arrows. "Trick" arrows are an essential element to Green Arrow's history the show will now have to use. Hopefully the boxing glove arrow appears. What did you think about the mid-season finale? What will you do until the shows return? Leave a comment down below in the comments section.

Without decent writing skills and pop culture knowledge, I'd currently be asking you, "Would you like fries with that?"
