Arrow: 6 Things That "Left Behind" Did Right (And 4 It Didn't)
The Good:
6. Team Arrow Steps Up
Team Arrow may be named for the Arrow himself, but crime in Starling City was hardly going to take a break with the hero's absence. As the episode opens with Oliver considered missing rather than dead, the rest of Team Arrow does their best to carry on the mission without him until his return. And they actually do a pretty great job. While it is clear that Oliver was the glue that held the unit together, the three in Starling were smart about how they compensated for the lack of the Arrow. With Digg squeezing himself into Oliver's leathers, carrying a bow, and accompanied by Arsenal, they were able to bluff their way into maintaining a public status quo. Roy still may miss about as many shots as he fires, Digg may lack the particular physicality that made the Arrow so dangerous, and Felicity may have less faith in their combat skills than in Oliver's, but Team Arrow steps up to protect Starling in a way that undoubtedly would have made their leader proud.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
