The CWOliver Queen used to feel like a fully formed character but, as of late, his identity seems to only exist as the Green Arrow. Granted, he is running a mayoral campaign, but outside of that its like his civilian identity has nothing to do. And with that campaign now in limbo, its unclear what hes meant to do when out of costume. Whatever happened to Oliver Queen the socialite or Oliver Queen the businessman? Did he stop caring about those things and we were just never told? It feels like slowly, over time, he's losing the different aspects of his personality as opposed to gaining them and growing. The result of this has made the character seem less fully-formed and compelling than ever. Almost all of his time is either spent in costume or dealing with his relationship with Felicity. An easy fix would be to have him reassume control of his former company at the end of the season. The political subplot just isnt thought out enough, and at least we know that the business side of things can support some more interesting storylines.
