Arrow: Ranking Every Version Of The Black Canary From Worst To Best

1. Laurel Lance (Earth-2)

Following the backlash over Laurel's death, Arrow's shot at redemption came in the form of, well, Laurel Lance. Yes, the character's evil Earth-2 doppelganger, Black Siren had made quite an impression on fans over on The Flash and thus, following Katie Cassidy's deliciously villainous performance, the show attempted to right the wrongs it had done.

An emotionally scarred character, this Laurel was reluctantly forced upon a journey of redemption by Earth-1 Laurel's father, Quentin and, as much as she tried to resist, she couldn't help but feel drawn to the light. And even though her arc wasn't given as much time to breathe as her predecessor's, it was a much smoother ride as the show knew it couldn't afford to mess it up again.

Laurel's redemption saw her return to Earth-2 and take up the mantle of Black Canary there before the Crisis forced her to return to Earth-1. And it was there that she completed her final test of heroism by joining Oliver in the fight against The Anti-Monitor.

With her metahuman-powered Canary Cry, her Earth-2 origins, her badass attitude and the best Black Canary suit to ever feature on the show, this is, without a doubt, the most comic-accurate version of Dinah Lance we've seen - so, in a way, it was rather fitting that the show saved the best for last. Moreover, Cassidy plays the role so well and reminds us why she is and always will be Arrow's true leading lady.

The Black Canary has, quite simply, never been better than this.
