Arrow Season 4: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Genesis'

1. Can Oliver Ever Fully Embrace The Light?

Green Arrow Oliver Eyes
The CW

The show has beat us over the head so many times over the years with the idea of Oliver being full of darkness, and unable to escape the things he has experienced. In Genesis they take that to its most literal point yet, actually showcasing the darkness within him via the images of Darhk, Deathstroke, his father et al, and then Fortuna giving up on him because he's too dark. Oliver then finds acceptance in this, but that doesn't stop him pouting about it either.

It was nice, then, when it finally allowed the light to truly shine through Oliver. It showed that there isn't just darkness in him, and that he could be something else. But will the series let him? It's something he'll need to channel to defeat Darhk, but what about after that? Will he simply revert to type, or could we actually move towards him being a more true version of the Green Arrow?
