Arrow Season 4: 12 Big Questions After 'Beacon Of Hope'

11. What's Happening With The Mayor Campaign And Alex?

A point that was largely buried in this episode, what with all the robotic bees swarming around, was the notion of Alex - Oliver's former campaign manager, in case you've forgotten that the character ever actually existed - going to spearhead the Mayoral campaign of Ruvé Adams, aka the Queen of Darhkness.

The alternative is that he gets a job at Palmer Tech, something Felicity is considering, so either way it looks like Alex is coming back to the show (yay?), and that'll at least throw up some interesting dynamics depending on which position he ends up with.

As for Ruvé and the Mayor campaign, things have been largely quiet on that front, but as the only contender she probably doesn't need to do all that much. Will she be elected, or will Oliver (or someone else) run against her?
