Arrow Season 4: 12 Questions We're Asking After 'Haunted'
5. What Is Darhk's Plan?
If Matt Ryan is brightening things up, then Neal McDonough is around to ensure things do stay at least a little Darhk. Not that it's a bad thing by any means. If you want to pinpoint the biggest difference between this year and last, and the main reason this is arguably the strongest start to a season this show's ever had, it's McDonough's Damien Darhk, the overarching villain of Season 4. Everytime he's on screen you can't take your eyes off him, and when he's not you're wondering when he'll next appear, or just what he's up to. He's completely threatening, and you imagine that there's nothing he won't do. What exactly he wants to do, though, is another matter. We keep getting glimpses of him, snapshots of his schemes, but what's his grand plan, and when are things really going to escalate with him?

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
