Arrow Season 4: 13 Questions We're Asking After Taken

7. Are His Powers Gone For Good?

One of the big shockers of the episode came as part of the win against Darhk, and indeed was the catalyst for it. Finally realising that he's getting his powers from some sort of magical item - didn't think to mention that before, eh Detective? - they set out to steal it. When removing it from his presence doesn't work, Vixen destroys it, and suddenly Darhk's powers are gone, allowing Oliver to give him a long-overdue beating. What does this all mean for Damien Darhk? Are his powers gone for good, or does he have another source that he can tap into? Does this mean that, over halfway through the season, there's going to be a change in the big bad? It could of course focus more on his efforts against Oliver Queen, rather than Green Arrow, but if he doesn't have powers then wouldn't that make him far easier to stop? Darhk has been the one consistently great part of Arrow's fourth season, and this is the first time there are big question marks over his future, so the next steps (or phase, if you like) needs to be handled very carefully.
