Arrow Season 4: 7 Ups And 4 Downs Of 'Monument Point'
9. Questioning Thea's Choices
Anarky simply being a part of Monument Point was certainly an “up”, but a further highlight of using the character in this episode was that it allowed for Thea Queen to have some of her outlook questioned.
As Machin rightfully points out, Thea is seemingly always someone’s lapdog, always needs a man’s side to stand at, and needs to feel a sense of belonging by attaching herself constantly to a partner. And it has to be said, the rogue makes some pretty valid points.
Thea was so often such a weak point of Arrow, but this season has seen the character come on leaps and bounds in her relevance and in becoming such an enjoyable part of the show, particularly when cracking skulls under her Speedy moniker. But like Machin said, she seems to need somebody to hold on to and struggles to branch out on her own.
After Lonnie’s words, here’s hoping that Thea can start stepping out on her own a bit more when Season 5 comes around.
