Arrow Season 4: 9 Ups And 6 Downs From 'Eleven-Fifty-Nine'
14. Diggle's Blind Faith
Much like how it seemed a bit off that Laurel Lance would be so happy to trust Andy Diggle and go against Oliver’s inklings, it also felt like poor writing in how easily swayed John Diggle was to put all of his faith in his younger brother.
In fairness to Big Digg, you could maybe stretch logic a little and look at it as him having unconditional faith in his brother because… well, because he’s his brother. But this insta-belief in Andy betrayed the character of John Diggle considering what had gone on previously.
In real terms, it’s likely only about 3 or 4 months ago that Digg found out his brother didn’t die years prior as he and his family were all led to believe. Following that, it was revealed that Andy had been working for H.I.V.E. and Damien Darhk, which was then followed by constant silence and an F-U attitude to John and the notion of the wife and son who still believed him to be dead. So yeah, there should still be just a few trust issues when it comes to Andy Diggle.
Instead, John is all brotherly-loved up here, which made Digg look like a smitten fool.
