Arrow Season 4: 12 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Broken Hearts'
1. Where Is The Show Headed?
Arrow Season 4 seemed like having so much potential, with some really strong episodes in the first half of the season and an incredibly compelling villain in Damien Darhk, as well as a slightly lighter tone that helped move past the total bleakness of Season 3.
Now, though, it's ran down a few blind alleys and backed itself into a corner. One where it's unclear where to see it's all headed. The next couple of episodes should help clear this up, as it positions its pieces on the board ahead of the season's endgame, but it needs to do a fair bit of work in doing so.
The writing has let Arrow down at times, and the hope is that they do have a masterplan to get themselves out of it, and make the weaker elements worthwhile. With Darhk battling Oliver and Green Arrow, still some further resolutions needed for Oliver and Felicity, the flashbacks to go, er, somewhere, and of course someone to die, we're gonna need a sense of where this is going, and that they can deliver, pretty soon.
