8. And New Villains
With new heroes come new villains, following on the heels of last year's standouts Damien Darhk and, er, Anarky, I guess.
This time around the Big Bad will be Prometheus, albeit a different one from the comics character of that name. We don't really know an awful lot about him in terms of powers and abilities, and all we have to go on looks wise is the brief shot of him in the trailer (above).
However, we do know that he will tie back into Season 1, and be someone connected to Oliver's actions during that time (so maybe had someone close to him killed by the Hood?). It's also said he'll be a really dark mirror to Oliver, which should provide an interesting test, and help the show get back to the strengths of the early days.
The other main villain in the present day is Tobias Church, played by The Wire and Walking Dead alum Chad Coleman, a gangster looking to unite Star City's criminals under his command, which should provide a good street level threat.
The more minor villains include a character set to be played by wrestler Cody Rhodes, renewing his rivalry with Stephen Amell.
