Arrow Season 5 Premiere: 13 Questions We're Asking After 'Legacy'

New Arrow is trying to look a lot like Old Arrow, and that can only be a good thing.

With Season 5, Arrow is going back to basics, and that's clear right from the off in the premiere episode, Legacy.

Gone is the notion of magic and mysticism, and in its place we have the Green Arrow once again going at it as a lone wolf on the streets of Star City, with the sole support coming from Felicity back in the Arrowcave.

The action scenes are impressive, and this is a violent, vicious Oliver who is prepared to kill once again. Heck, even the flashbacks - long one of the weakest elements of the show - are pretty darn entertaining here.

It's not perfect, and any 'Arrow is truly back' talk has to be put on hold, but it's a step in the right direction. It's got two intriguing, threatening new villains in town, a disparate Team Arrow, and a hero trying to juggle being a Mayor and a vigilante.

There are still going to be some issues to work through, such as how it balances the new vigilantes, and whether it'll get bogged down in soap opera elements, but for now it's good to be back and really enjoying Arrow again.

With Oliver facing some new threats, Diggle still away, and Thea rejecting vigilantism, there's a lot going on - and a lot of questions to be asked after the Season 5 premiere.

13. How Will Flashpoint Affect Diggle?

Although Flashpoint is largely taking place on The Flash, it is going to spill over into the other CW Arrowverse shows.

While the terms of how much it could and should affect Arrow haven't really been set out, we know it is going to have some impact - and especially on Diggle, mostly in terms of his family life.

When we see Dig here, there's no reference to any major changes, despite being a few months on from the May finale. Does that mean the changes haven't happened yet, or they just didn't mention them? And either way, what exactly are they?
