Arrow Season 8 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Leap Of Faith'

1. Diggle And Lyla's Standalone Adventure

As much as we all love John Diggle and Lyla Michaels as a couple and partnership, their storyline in this week's episode felt like the weak link of the bunch. Now, that's not as to say that there wasn't some great character stuff in there (because there was and we'll get to that later), but the actual writing in this portrayed it like the typical weekly adventure.

While that's not necessarily a bad thing (we love typical weekly adventures really), it was juxtaposed with two other storylines in which all hell was breaking loose, so that just left this one feeling a little underdeveloped - which is unfortunate because the pair were dealing with some mature narratives that could have used more room to breathe.
