Arrow Season 8 Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Present Tense'

Ups...

7. Curtis' Return

Arrow Season 8 Curtis
The CW

Before we begin, let's just talk about how great it was to see Echo Kellum back as Curtis Holt.

The character was a mainstay on the show from Seasons 4 - 7 and, although he didn't always live up to his potential, it's hard to deny how great Kellum was in the role. Sure, Curtis may have stuck around for too long without really developing, but seeing him back in action in 'Present Tense' was a reminder of how great he could be when used sparingly.

Not only did his return add some much-needed comedy to the emotionally heavy episode (he's always been a gem in that department), it also made the episode feel even more important because we had such a large iteration of Team Arrow.

Hopefully we'll get to see him at least one more time before the show comes to an end.
