Arrowverse Crossover: 11 Best Moments From Arrow's 100th Episode 'Invasion!'

6. Goodbye Laurel (And The Others)

Arrow 100th Episode
The CW

This episode was essentially Arrow's version of Flashpoint. It imagined a world where Oliver and Robert Queen never boarded Queen's Gambit. No island, no Hood, almost none of the past five years.

So it's hard for those characters aware of what's happening to be wrenched out of it, and painful for us to watch them say goodbye. Stephen Amell excels in these scenes, and the emotion and heartache on his face as he says goodbye to his parents, then Laurel, and then one last look at everyone in digital form, is clear to see. The same goes for Sara, who also gets a final emotional farewell with her sister.

I'm guessing this won't be the last we see of Laurel on Arrow, but it still works - knowing the character and her history with Oliver and Sara - as a poignant way of saying goodbye.
